The Wright One by K.A. Linde

Secrets swarm all around.
My world is crumbling under the strain.
I don’t know if we can survive this.
My heart is in the Wright place.
But is his?

The Wright One by K.A. Linde is the angsty conclusion to her new contemporary romance duet, Wright Love.  As part of her Wright series, this duet, likely the last we’ll hear from the Wright family we’ve come to know & love, at least for a while.  You’ll get a nice final glimpse of the whole family with continued cross-over characters from The Wright Brother, The Wright Boss, The Wright Mistake & The Wright Secret.  Sutton & David’s story continues as Sutton, picks up the pieces of her heart, after putting it on the line while trying to find herself after the loss of the love of her life “If this was living, I didn’t want to be part of it.”  Now that the truth is out, David must decide if it’s worth the risk to work through regaining a trust that has been broken & proving he is who he always has been in spite of his namesake “Running had become second nature.”…”Or…I could stay.”
Told in first person from dual perspectives, you’ll go from feeling betrayed in a world that seems to keep shattering, to a second chance full of passion & possibilities & back again!  Sutton has the everlasting support of her family “They argued all the time, but they loved each other. That was a fact. The Wrights were closer than any family I’d ever known.” While David’s family brings a “…air-kiss-only…” kind of loyalty to the table – family is family.  I love that these characters journey together to realize it’s not about comparing or replacing but about finding the differences & embracing them anew. “No longer defined by what I’d lost. But what I’d gained.”  While also learning to understand their emotions, to work through grief, bring happiness & overcome heartache. “My heart had always been in the right place.”  Sexy & angsty, with a few laughs, secrets revealed & few new twists, this second chance romance left me wanting just a little bit more.
A bittersweet unofficial end to the Wright family, who I’ll enjoy reading time & time again.
“The moment felt final. Not an ending, but a beginning.”

Rebel Heart (Rush Series Duet, Book Two) by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

BLURB

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Sleep with your boss. Check.

Blow all your money on a rental you can’t afford. Check.

How to walk away from a man you fall in love with at the end of a summer:

…I’ll let you know when I figure it out.

Rebel Heart is the conclusion to the Rush Series Duet by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland.  Told in first person, from dual perspectives, & picking up right where book one left off - this sexy contemporary romance book two will not disappoint.  Be prepared for a ridiculous amount of angst that will have you damn near coming out of your skin. "This shit was better than a Jerry Springer episode." A witty, sexy, & sweet second-chance romance that showcases uncertainty & resilience of the heart.

Rush & Gia have been through so much "...complex and amazing." in such a short time & "...so damn intense..." now they will face a truth that may very well break them.  The happiness they've had, sadly short-lived when a gut-wrenching twist of fate is revealed.  Journey with this couple as they work through life, death & shattered dreams to see what their hearts can hold & their future will be "The strength was within me all along. You brought it out in me." Still sexy in all the best ways, "...sweet, yet sensual and erotic." With continually loyal & protective friends & family.  A lesson in looking forward instead of back & letting love out weigh hate.

I loved this match from the start.  The way they both protect each other at the risk of everything they desire. "...the best and most bittersweet thing I'd ever witnessed."  The relationship & wisdom of Gia's dad "...kind and loving and the most dependable person on this planet." - simply love.

A beautifully complicated love story.

"Life should be about living with uncertainty while we watch beautiful sunsets with the people we love."

The Wright Love by K.A. Linde

The Wright Love -- May 15th

I have the perfect life. Until the day my husband tragically dies. Being a single mom and widow was never part of the plan. When David Calloway enters my life, I have no room for love in my heart. But he’s determined to do right by me. Could he be the Wright love? The Wright Love is the first book in the Wright Love Duet, and Sutton and David's story will conclude in The Wright One—coming May 29th! Get ready for your newest binge read.

MY REVIEW
The Wright Love by K.A. Linde is the first book in her new contemporary romance duet, Wright Love.  As part of her Wright series, this duet includes the whole family of cross-over characters from The Wright Brother, The Wright Boss, The Wright Mistake & The Wright Secret.  You’ll follow Sutton, the youngest Wright as she journeys to piece back together “…a shattered mess inside.”  a year after the tragic loss of her beloved husband to “…find a tiny piece of the butterfly inside myself that had once been so joyous.”.  With David, the only person who lets her just feel.  “No bullshit. No expectations.”

Told in first person from dual perspectives, this story will take you from “…cathartic, wonderful, horrible, painful…” all the way to “Kind, sweet, happy and kind of wonderful.”  Filled with “…devotion and desire.”  Sutton is surrounded by a family after my own heart “They were wild and prone to addictions with skeletons in their closets, but they were mine. And I loved them.”  This fast paced read is as genuine in its gut-wrenching grief, as it is in a mothers love & conflict of the heart.  Secrets you won’t see coming are revealed – a cliff hanger that will have you gasping out loud!

Another enjoyable read from Linde, whose ability to bring a blend of romance & emotion can’t be beat.  I love Suttons strength – “She’d lost so much. She’d endured. And here she was, still as beautiful as ever, not falling apart because of it.” & the way David doesn’t take, but understands grief & heals with his soul heart.  This story - “…was heart-wrenching. And wonderful.”

On the edge of my seat waiting for the conclusion to Sutton & David’s story The Wright One releasing this month.

Tulsa (The Crow Brothers) by S.L. Scott

Blurb

From New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, comes a hot new rock star romance that will sweep you off your feet and leave you with a smile.

The rumors are true. At least where I’m concerned.

Drummers hit it harder and do it better.

Women love me and I love them. But I like to think of myself as a sensitive soul trapped in a lady-killer’s body. Not so surprisingly, I’ve been called cocky a time or two. What can I say? We can’t all be boy scouts.

Nikki Faris has thrown off my rhythm. With her red lips, smart aleck mouth, short skirts, long legs, and blue-sky eyes, the beautiful lead singer has become a complete distraction on this tour.

She loves to give me a hard time when all I want to do is give her the pleasure of my hard—time right back.

Tulsa Crow can save his pick up lines, great eight-pack abs, and cute dimples to use on someone else. My band earned their spot on The Resistance’s tour just like The Crow Brothers. I’m not going to blow it getting sidetracked by a cocky rock star that wants to sleep his way through the states. I’ve been called a name or two, but easy isn’t one of them.

But the best intentions with him turn into a walk of shame for me. Only, I don’t feel shame. Instead, I’m doing the very thing I said I wouldn’t—falling for a playboy.

We make sinful music when we’re on the road, but what happens to our melody when the tour ends?

Tulsa, the second in S.L. Scott's The Crow Brothers series, just like the first book Spark, this one was not only worth the wait, but a awesome 5 star match.  Such a smooth start, with a ending that came far to soon.  Tulsa is the youngest & most free sibling & member of the Crow Brothers Band.  Nikki the little sister to her twin brother & voice to the Faris Wheel band.  Neither of them are looking for anything more than making solid careers of their music & loving their families to the fullest.

Told in first person, from dual perspectives, this story will bring you angst & romance, a secret, a shock & a surprise or two, before circling back again.  Funny & sexy "I have no idea if he'd live up to that smirk, but I'm not opposed to finding out." With a chemistry that is more than physical from the start.  These characters are full of quick wit & snark, talented & dreamy "He winks. I swoon. We're a bad habit I don't want to break."  Family & friends who transcend love, devotion, support & understanding better than anyone else "Whether bandmate or brother, we stick together."  The kind of strong connections between characters that make sacrifices, take risks & overcome what life throws at them to heal heart & soul.  Characters that are "...real, raw, honest, and genuine."

"Scars don't matter. Trust. Respect. Love. Communication is key."

I just love Tulsa - a real man, for a real woman.  Nikki - "I became the hero of my own story." just wow. The love of music & performing these characters have & the way S.L. puts us as the readers right there with them - awesome "This is church, the audience our disciples. As we preach, they pray."  Two words A-MEN
"Live life to the fullest and always give 'em you good side."

Such a wonderful read.

Looking forward to Rivers story coming this summer.
